This week, I’m gonna help you develop some raving fans. I’m John Paul Fischbach. I’m the CEO and chief Alchemist here at the Auspicious Arts Incubator. If you have raving fans, you have a successful business. So, this hot tip is actually a companion to the previous hot tip on loving your customer more than your product or your service. So you might wanna check that one out. The secret of successful creative businesses is developing your raving fans.

Now, as artists we make awesome work, right? We stretch minds. We open hearts. We change lives. So many of us already have some raving fans but there are three things that you can do to create more raving fans. And a lot of this tip comes from a business master course that I just did with Tony Robbins that was unbelievably awesome.

Number one is deliver more than you promise. The result of delivering more than you promised is instant word-of-mouth marketing. They’re gonna share the story of their experience with their friends, and their friends are gonna become your next customer, so deliver more than you promised. Number two is reward your best customers. Seriously, remember the most expensive thing that you can do is to acquire a new customer. And for most of us, that’s what takes up our time and our energy and our money, and it’s the hardest thing to do.

So, therefore, the easiest way to make additional money is to continually and better serve the customers that you already have. So I want you to identify those who come back more often, who spend more, who refer others on, bring friends to your concerts with them. Let them know how special they are. You know, offer them discount, some special offers, first priority status. That’s how you ensure that they become raving fans, right? And also, your best clients deserve your best offers, don’t they?

Okay. The third thing that you can do is continually ask them what they want. Not what kind of art they want, but ask them what’s their biggest challenge. What’s the biggest challenge that you’re facing? And why is it important to you to find a solution to that? Just ask them that question. It might be outside of the box of the arts, but it’s gonna help you understand them. So then you can think, imagine, be creative, and figure out how to help them. And when you do that, they’re gonna rave about you because you understand them.

Okay. The fourth thing that you can do to develop raving fans is to educate them. A lot of your raving fans or a lot of your friends right now don’t know enough about what you do, how you do it, why you do it. Just educate them, take them inside. Help them understand more about your creative process. The minute you educate them, you’re gonna have a raving fan, because again they’re gonna learn something, have something to talk about, right?

So there’s another part of this that says you have to be set up for raving fans. So there’s some organizing principles for creating your raving fan clients that you have to have as part of your business but we don’t have enough time to go into that. So if you really want it, if you’re really curious about how to do this, and you know you have the potential, please have a look at the ASAP membership program because I’m gonna go into greater depth in that program about this raving fan idea.

All right. So, for this week it’s self-diagnostic time. Number one, deliver more than you promise. Number two, reward your best customers. Number three, continually ask them what they want. Number four, educate them, run a little self-diagnostic. Which of those can you do? Pick one, pick one for this week. Work on that, because you’ve got fans just lift them to become raving fans and you have a way more successful business.

Okay. That’s it for this week. Please check out the ASAP Program. It gives this kinda content but in greater depth, way more detail. I get to spend way more time with you and you get to be among the community of other artists who are doing the same kind of work as you. All right. That’s it for this week. See you next week and absolutely check us out at www.auspiciousartsincubator.org.
