Hi, I’m John Paul Fischbach. I’m the Chief Alchemist here at the Auspicious Arts Incubator and I want to welcome you to this Hot Tip Tuesday. This week we’re talking about investment but it’s investing in the business. I know that you all have invested in your art. You’ve invested in your education. You’ve invested in art skills but because you’re watching these Hot Tip Tuesdays and because you’re following us with the Auspicious Arts Incubator, maybe it’s time to talk about investing in the business.
There are a whole bunch of skills that you need to learn to operate your arts practice as a successful business. You have to invest in learning those skills; so I encourage you to seek out all the ways you can to improve your business and marketing skills. Find all the things that you need to learn and go get those skills. You have to invest in your business just like you’ve invested in your art.
There’s a whole bunch of skills that we didn’t get when we graduated from arts school or we are very confident as a practicing artist but maybe not so confident as a successful business person. It’s just a matter of investing in the business like you’ve invested in yourself as an artist.
I encourage you to keep watching these Hot Tips, share them, go find more. The internet is a vast and glorious place that can help you with all kinds of business skills.
