Hi. John Paul Fischbach here, the CEO and Chief Alchemist of the Auspicious Arts Incubator. This week I’m here with a two part recipe to claim back your day. Some days are magical and they’re in flow and you feel totally in control and some days are exhausting and frustrating and you feel powerless. I invite you to have more great feeling days. There are two parts to achieving this. The first part is mindset and the second part is behavior.

Let’s look at number one, the mindset. You have the choice to be at cause or at effect. You can take responsibility for the results of each day or you can abdicate your responsibility and have reasons why the day turned out the way it did. I want you to think about a day that went well and I also want you to think about a day that went not so well.

For this exercise I want you to replay that day in your mind and as you think about that day did you cause the day and get eth results positive or negative or were you at the effect of the day seeing all the reasons that it went well or it went poorly. For better or for worse claim your day from being at cause. Have the mindset of causing the results of your day.

The second part of the recipe is behavior. Are there some habits or behaviors that give control of your day away right from the start? If you go to your inbox first thing you’re telling others drive my day. Pretty soon they’ll own your week and your month and ultimately your life. Are you letting the interrupters derail your day? Sometimes interruption is oaky and sometimes it isn’t. Sometimes the interrupter can wait. It’s your choice.

I encourage you this week to look at your mindset and your behavior and claim back your day. Own it. Start the day with what you want to achieve and then be in the driver’s seat all day. Drive it toward where you want to go.
